2026 VISITOR INDUSTRY CHARITY WALK

Oʻahu & Kauaʻi - Saturday, May 2
Hawaiʻi Island & Maui County - Saturday, May 9

ABOUT US

In 1978, the Hawai`i Lodging & Tourism Association members voted to extend the reach of support offered by the Walk's fundraising capability. The Visitor Industry CHARITY WALK is the result of this decision. Since its inception in 1978, over $51 million has been raised and helped hundreds of local charities throughout the State.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Who can participate? ANYBODY! You do not have to be a hotel employee, or a member of the Hawai`i Lodging & Tourism Association, or part of the visitor industry to participate. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, co workers, clients, schools, clubs, visitors/tourists.

The Charity Walk is a statewide event that traditionally occurs on Hawai`i Island, Kauaʻi, Maui County, and Oʻahu. Learn how to get involved on your respective island!

"What’s most meaningful about the Charity Walk is that it’s the visitor industry’s way of showing its profound appreciation for the community by way of its fiscal contribution. We continue to fundraise and, thanks to the unparalleled support of our hospitality industry, and the generosity of many HLTA members, are able to provide assistance to hundreds of local nonprofits across our islands."
